The Aptech Lab Climate Alliance is a voluntary, non political and action oriented network for organizations that want to understand climate risk, share what they are learning, work across sectors and help build a stronger evidence based climate voice for Nepal.

Why it is needed
Nepal does not lack organizations. It lacks a connected ecosystem.
Businesses, environmental organizations, academic institutions, development agencies and young professionals across Nepal are already building valuable solutions. Much of that work stays fragmented. Organizations work in isolation, compete for limited resources, repeat similar awareness activities, and spend considerable time explaining why environmental action matters before the actual work can begin.
The Alliance is member supported and cross sector. It connects private companies, civil society, academia, technical professionals and young people around practical collaboration, shared resources and implementation. Where organizations face similar challenges, it helps them combine strengths rather than rebuild what already exists.
That matters most for putting Nepal’s NDC 3.0 into practice. The NDC calls for green jobs and green skills to reach school, technical, vocational and university education by 2030. Answering it needs practical detail. Which green jobs will be required, what should institutions teach, what expertise do employers lack today, and how do young people reach real climate careers.

Members raise shared challenges and bring private sector perspectives into national climate conversations, including dialogue with the institutions shaping Nepal's NDC 3.0.

The membership promise
What NPR 30,000 unlocks
Membership buys access to the platform. Participation creates the return. Everything below is scheduled and documented, so a member can approve it internally and know exactly what the year holds.

What the Alliance does
Five things, scheduled and documented
Climate Tables
Two facilitated cross sector problem solving forums each year. Members submit challenges in advance, sensitive information is protected, and non confidential insights are documented with follow ups assigned.
Learning and network exchange
Two in person gatherings where members speak on different themes, share what has worked and what has not, and meet the people behind the work.
Youth mentorship and opportunity bridge
Each member nominates a mentor, judge or speaker and aims to open one to three youth opportunities. Aptech Lab coordinates safeguarding, expectations and matching. Employment is not guaranteed.
Collective communication and policy voice
A quarterly update on member activity and shared challenges, plus an annual evidence based brief synthesising member and youth perspectives for submission and dialogue.
The flagship annual moment
June 4 centres Climate Ambassadors, mentorship and a Climate Action Plan workshop. June 5 opens to the public with member showcases, youth presentations, dialogues and an annual progress announcement.
What members give back
The Alliance works only if members show up
Aptech Lab makes that participation structured, credible, visible and useful. The rest depends on the members themselves.
- Pay NPR 30,000 for a one year renewable membership
- Nominate one active focal person and keep that contact current
- Attend at least two core engagements and respond to the annual review
- Share at least one real challenge, lesson or opportunity
- Mentor, host, judge or otherwise engage young Climate Ambassadors
- Aim to provide one to three appropriate youth opportunities
- Participate in at least one public campaign or June activity
- Avoid unverified claims, political capture, discrimination and greenwashing
